There you have it, word for word. I stepped forward as he lead me to a room filled with blue print scrolls.
âWhoa.â I gazed.
âYou like?â He asked handing me the scroll.
âLike? Itâs a room filled with scrolls.â I informed.
âMy prized collection,â He said.
I took the scroll from his hand, âIâll give it back soon, I promise.â
He nodded, âOkay, just donât lose it, rip it, draw on it, spit on it, or mess it up in anyway.â
âSo, return it in its condition?â I asked.
âYeah,â He nodded, âExactly the way it was.â
I turned and walked towards the front door, âThanks Reid, weâll talk soon.â
He gave a sigh as I walked out the front door.
âYou get it?â Vern asked as I approached him and the others in the van.
âI looked at him and nodded, âYeah.â I held up the scroll.
I got into the driverâs side of the van then started it and drove off down the street.
âDid he give you any trouble?â James asked.
âSort of.â I informed.
He laughed, âI hope he didnât offend, the guy loves his scrolls.â
I huffed, âYeah, I can tell.â
âHe used to be a professional writer, the guy quit to collect scrolls.â He explained.
I knit my eyes, âReally?â
âYeah,â He said, âHe made millions off of two books.â
âWhat were they called?â I questioned.
âUh, donât remember. They were big though.â
I nodded and made a right turn and headed towards our safe house. We had gotten the blue prints and now we had to make a plan to infiltrate the bank and get Cole out all before he is discovered and shot.
I made a left turn and stopped at a traffic light. Cars stopped around us and waited for the light just as we were.
On the left there was a Black 67â Chevy Impala and inside was a guy who looked like he stole the car. As I looked at him he turned to me and smiled, I winked at him. I had a plan.
I looked at Joey next to me, âI like that car next to us. A lot,â
Joey looked at me, âKen, donât you dare.â
I gave a smile, âYou know me.â
âThatâs why Iâm concerned.â
The light changed and we sped off down the street. The Impala was on the left and right next to the van. I pulled back and got behind it.
âKen, donât get caught.â Derek ordered.
I stayed on the cars ass, âI wonât.â
The man inside the car beeped and I just went faster and got on his bumper. The car turned into a parking lot and slammed on his brakes. I stepped on the brakes as he angrily got out of the Impala.
âWhatâre you doing?â James asked as I took my seat belt off.
I unlocked my side door and opened it, âLike I said, I like that car,â I shut the door behind me as Joey got out after me.
âWhat's your problem man?â The guy yelled.
âIs that your car?â I asked approaching him.
He stepped back, âYeah, what's it to you?â
I shrugged, âI like it.â
He knit his eyes, âThanks.â
âKenâ¦â Joey said, âHurry up.
